A top class candidate does make an Institution a Brand but the "TOP CLASS" is a subjective word, Indian top class student will be a guy from gen. category IIT BOMBAY CSE student but the world won't view him as top of the class as in international competetion his academic acheviements are not recognized hence not valued. A great example of this is Mr. Sundar Pichai only Indians do care about his roots to india rest of world just views him as just another CEO. Hence opening such institutions will give exposure to countries about how extreme the curriculum is and will open up their eyes towards the growth of india. And dilution comes with something that is concentrated outside of india the 0.000001% population of world might know what IIT is so idk how it will dilute anything.
